energyTHEN: Happy Birthday, Thomas Edison
This week on Energy Then, we celebrate Thomas Edison's birthday with a look back at how his work with electricity changed the world and the way we live.
From the electric light bulb to the motion picture camera, Edison fundamentally changed the way we use energy. His other inventions include the electric motor, and a method of bringing power from generating stations to homes and factories. He was also the founder of the company we know today as General Electric.
