The Partnership
EnergyNow! is an alliance comprised of leading
authorities in the physical education, nutrition
and fitness technology fields who are committed
to reversing today’s alarming childhood obesity
epidemic.
National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE)
NASPE is the preeminent national authority on
physical education and a recognized leader in
sport and physical activity. It is a non-profit
professional membership association that sets
the national standards for practice in physical
education and sport. Its 16,000 members include
K-12 physical education teachers, coaches, athletic
directors, athletic trainers, sport managers, and
college/university faculty who prepare these
professionals and conduct research. NASPE’s
pivotal role is the administration and management
of the EnergyNow! grant process. The
organization will also provide professional
development for grant recipients.

Polar
Polar comes to the program with a long history
of providing high-tech, fitness assessment
products — including a 10-year, in-school track
record. Polar will provide heart rate monitors and
assessment tools along with professional
development for EnergyNow! grant recipients.
Polar technology will contribute to each schools’
ability to measure and communicate student
learning in physical education. Additionally, the
company will fund the program’s administration.
